  Part Time Position for Office Coordinator:

We have an opening for an individual in our downtown Cedar Rapids office.  Duties and responsibilities include answering phones, sending letters, scheduling appointments, completing client programs and files, assisting with social security disability claims, sending billing statements, filing, client follow up, and more.  Candidate must have good communication skills, a good working knowledge of computers and programs including printers and faxes and candidate must also be a quick learner.  Knowledge of Quick Books or some bookkeeping skills would be a big plus. 

20 – 25 hours per week to start.  Initial pay is $10 - $ 11 hourly, plus attractive incentive bonuses for completion of claimant’s files.  There are no benefits with this position.    

Candidate should be interested in helping people.  Background in office administration and even some experience in social work would be beneficial.  This is extremely gratifying work.  Please send resume to Liz@disabilityplanning.org  

 

 Social Security Claims Associate:  Part time openings in Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, and Dubuque, for associates to help with Social Security Disability cases.  Position could lead to fulltime.  Duties include some marketing, meeting with clients who want to file for benefits, assembling file information, completing forms, ordering medical reports, writing letters and case follow through.  Income is contingency based on cases that are won.  This is not an hourly paid position.  However, our Associates can earn up to  $3,000 per client case and establish their own income goals.  Extremely engaging and rewarding work. 

Hirees must enjoy reading case file information, medical reports, and drafting and sending letters.  Individuals must have good organizational skills. Background in human services, nursing, social work, psychology, sociology, or social services is a plus.  Will train.  Send resume to frank@disabilityplanning.org
